Here I relate one of the extraordinary conversations with the Messenger, approximately 12 years ago. This was one of those early conversations which helped me on my path, I share it with you here.

It felt like a dream. But with perfect clarity and more conversation than I normally have, referencing exact circumstances from my waking life. I found myself in a room like a cafe, bustling with people going about their business. Light streamed in through large, commercial-style windows, giving the place a physical sense.

A man took notice of me. He was approximately six feet tall with dark hair, a manicured full beard, and wore a loose white shirt and dark blue snug-fitting pants. His open collar revealed a broad chest and large shoulders. I didn’t notice his shoes, but his gaze shifted from them back to me. He walked towards me with a smile and an open pose, lifting his arms, palms revealed. In a large, deep voice, he said, “What do you think?” making a gesture as if unveiling a grand opening.

I instantly recognized him as my messenger. “My messenger, what are you doing? You look different,” I asked, noticing that I was now much taller than him, my view extending over his head. I felt light and easy to move.

“Well, what do you think?” he asked again as I pondered his near-physical attributes.

“I like it, but why are you appearing like this?” I inquired.

The messenger explained, “I have been thinking that in some cases, it may be better to appear as this, as it is in fact how I appeared in one of my more recent incarnations. This way, you may more easily relate to me, bring my message to your conscious life, and put my instruction into action. Your presence in the light isn’t strong enough yet for me to be fully revealed, but you will be. This will help coach you along; you only need to gain greater momentum in your earnestness. In this life, I am appearing as I also was not perfect and had my own faults. But none of those things matter so long as your attention stays strong and true. As your attention stays strong, those lesser things will fall away, and you will no longer give them credence.”

I replied, “I do feel I have been moving in this direction, working on giving more decrees and meditation, moving in a natural way with greater focus and momentum.”

The messenger smiled. “I know, as I have listened.”

We continued our conversation, discussing the importance of awareness and focus in manifesting our true authority. I recalled a memory of working at an office supply store, practicing the Hong-Sau technique, which caused my reality to fade away, revealing a beautiful meadow. The messenger nodded in recognition, familiar with the teachings of Yogananda and the Self-Realization Fellowship.

As our conversation drew to a close, I knew that the messenger’s presence and guidance would help me navigate my spiritual journey. All I needed was to maintain my focus and trust in the process.
