Over the past 8 years of living in my current house, I have had several experiences that I cannot explain. I have been observing a young boy spirit with brown hair and brown eyes. Early on, he was seen playing with trucks in the grassy yard on a sunny day. Other times, I observed him coming into my bedroom and relaxing on a chair nearby. He seems very curious as to who we are, living in his home.

Despite my initial apprehension, I have come to realize that this young boy’s spirit is completely non-threatening. In fact, he seems very gentle and is just experiencing growing up as a spirit. Over the years, my father has seen him on several occasions, sometimes wearing a Fireman’s Hat. Even my children have seen him and asked me who the little boy is.

Recently, I have been writing this article because over the last week, and last night while leaving my body, I actually met him. I gave him a hug, and he told me his name was Eric. He related a story of how there was an animal or a dog, and his friends asked that he feed the animal some treats. He didn’t want to, but due to his friend’s persistence, he approached the animal. Suddenly, the dog attacked him, killing him.

Now, this is the story he told me, but leading up to this, I had discovered a note written by one of the young boys who lived in the house previously. The note was a sort of suicide note and was found under a shelf in an upstairs bedroom closet. The previous owners of the house had two young boys, and the parents divorced in the house, going their separate ways.

I am thinking that this young boy spirit, Eric, is the son of the previous owners, and that is why they divorced and moved out, selling me the house. This might be why I got such a good deal on the house. It is sad to think that such a tragedy occurred in this house, but at least Eric seems to have found peace in his spirit form.

Last night, Eric was resting in our bed while we slept, and my son climbed onto me at some late hour, a little rattled by the observance of another young boy sleeping in the bed. I told him not to worry about it and go to sleep, as it was just Eric. While it may seem strange to some, Eric has become a part of our family, and we are grateful for his gentle presence in our home.
