Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the confusion that surrounds the idea of Jesus as the only begotten Son of God. So many believe this means Jesus alone is divine—something separate, unreachable. Churches have reinforced this idea, saying no one can be like Jesus because “He is God in the flesh.” But they miss the deeper truth: we are all expressions of the One Son. There is only one divine light, and it shines in every soul willing to awaken.
“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.”
(John 1:4)
Jesus was not a superhero. He was a messenger—a soul who fully awakened to God’s indwelling presence. And He tried to show us how to do the same. Over and over, He said His miracles weren’t His own doing, but the work of His Father within.
“I can do nothing by Myself… the Father living in Me does His work.”
(John 5:30; 14:10)
But today’s world doesn’t believe in the soul. It doesn’t honor the indwelling Father. Instead, our modern myths are told through movies and media that glorify power in the body, not spirit. Look at Superman—an alien god wrapped in human form. His strength comes from biology. His identity is written in his genes, not given from the Light.
The same with the Marvel Universe. Every superhero—from Captain America to the X-Men—gets their power from some biological mutation, or cosmic accident. The Jedi in Star Wars channel the Force, but even that has been reduced to a measurement in midichlorians, as if divinity can be found in a blood test. Power, in these stories, is something you’re born with, or something done to you. Rarely is it something that comes from giving yourself to something greater.
Even in Star Trek, human evolution is portrayed as the accumulation of knowledge, leading to higher intelligence, broader understanding, and even energy-based existence—but it is achieved apart from God. The divine is never the source. It’s always the mind or technology that ascends, not the soul that returns.
Stargate follows a similar path—depicting ancient ascended beings of light, yes—but always as a product of scientific evolution or secret knowledge, not as the result of devotion, surrender, or divine grace. The soul’s sacred journey is forgotten, or rewritten as alien ancestry.
But Jesus taught something radically different. He didn’t hoard power—He pointed away from Himself, saying,
“The works that I do shall you do also—and greater works than these shall you do.”
(John 14:12)
He gave the power back to us—because it was never His alone. It belongs to the Light within every child of God.
And this brings me to a powerful moment I had not long ago. During a spiritual experience—clearer than any dream, brighter than the sun—I saw that everything in our physical world is made of frozen light. The walls, the streets, the trees, the rocks—all of it. Matter is just condensed, still light. When I came out of that experience, I stood up trembling, overcome with revelation, and I shouted:
“The Light of God is the only thing that is real—and it’s the only thing that can save us!”
That truth still echoes in my soul.
Not power.
Not fame.
Not science.
Not strength.
Only the Light.
“God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.”
(1 John 1:5)
The Light is not found in DNA. It is not made by machines. It cannot be engineered, cloned, or mutated. It is given. It is revealed. It is the original source from which we came—and the only path by which we return.
We are not sheep. We are not avatars.
We are souls of light, walking the long road back to the One.
Our bodies are frozen light.
Our souls are awakened light.
And the Son is the mirror in which we see our true reflection.
As Paul said:
“You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:5)
Let the world worship its comic gods.
Let them film their flesh-bound heroes.
But I will remember:
The true salvation is light.
And the true path is awakening.
