To paint a mental picture, let us envision existence as a vast school, replete with numerous levels and grades, each accompanied by countless tests along the way.
As we traverse this metaphysical school, we encounter a series of tests that may at times make us feel like we are regressing, moving backward instead of forward. Yet, it is through overcoming these trials that we eventually comprehend the magnitude of our growth. Much like a sculptor meticulously shaping a hard piece of wood, we must whittle away at ourselves, smoothing out all the rough edges, until we transform into a beautiful masterpiece.
This process of whittling and refining may seem interminable and strenuous, but a single misstep can easily shatter our progress, leaving a deep scratch in our being. Such missteps mirror the downfalls and errors we commit along this transformative journey. In contrast, the ascent demands tremendous effort and time, for we are akin to a dense piece of wood floating on water, yearning to ascend into the vast ether. To achieve this elevation, we must be incessantly whittled down, shedding layer upon layer of the elements that comprise our human consciousness, until we are utterly smoothed, devoid of all roughness.
Alas, most individuals are content to remain where they are, unwilling to invest in the long-term to truly become masterpieces of themselves. They whittle half-heartedly, not embracing the full potential of their divinity. But when the soul is genuinely prepared, it takes the leap, shedding all external influences in due time.
Throughout this transformative path, the allure of external distractions wanes, as we realize that leisurely pursuits, like watching a movie, cease to bring joy or entertainment. Instead, they become swiftly marked with pain and suffering. It is the relinquishment of all old attachments to outward impressions that proves to be the most arduous task. We must find our center, becoming whole within ourselves, impervious to both internal and external influences.
In this state of completion, we no longer seek external validation or completion, for we know that the true answers lie within. Through unwavering focus, meditation, and affirmations, the universe unveils its secrets, and we gain insights into life’s most profound questions and enigmas.
